The main reason is there is always someone eyeballing you. What the hell!! Your like sitting opposite me and your staring at me!!!

I can't be assed doing the stare down thing.

Rant over

I once had a guy staring at me on a bus in America many years ago . I was into rockabilly then so probably looked a bit of a twat . Anyhow he just stared and stared until a load of guys got on all dressed in funny clothes ( a bit like me ) They all sat around me and I got chatting to them thinking it was a stag do group on a day out . The guy staring at me was now staring at the floor .
The guys informed me that they where just out of San Quentin , I thought this was the village they all came from and started answering questions about what London was like .
Anyway they all got off in dribs and drabs with a cheery wave and I was left alone again with the starey man . He kept looking at the floor and I felt a tough guy for out staring him .
It was only when I got back to the hotel and started chatting to the receptionist that I was told with horror about the type of people I had been sat with
I thought they where a rather nice bunch of chaps to be honest .

Pubic transport is the answer to cyclists dreams. Get everyone out of their cars and into public transport and the only things on the road are buses and cyclists.. Just train the bus drivers that they don't have priority.

Job done, we all live in utopia where the public transport system actually works because the investment in it is enough for the job.

I have no idea why anyone would choose to sit on a rush-hour tube in the summer when they could be on a bike.

It's a bit more complicated than that...

35 miles is a bit far to ride each way every day, and now that the tubes are air-conditioned they're reasonably pleasant. It's never impossible getting a seat at the start of the journey, either.
