:biggrin: I have just landed myself a job at the lbs (Echelon Cycles in Pershore). The only downsides being that I won't be getting paid anyhting and I will have to join the leisure centre to get a shower, but I don't care, because I feel that experience is worth more than money:biggrin:. I am just awaiting for some dates as to when I go in, but I can't wait:biggrin: (I would just like to say thanks to Speicher for some locall knowledge that she provided me)

How much does it cost to Oldham?
Decent! You'll be able to put some petrol in your dad's car next!

Well done but why are you not getting paid?

Because I thought it would be easier to land a job in the current economic climate if I said that I wanted paying in experience rather than money. I already get stuff free from them anyway (gels being the main things) so I can probably gaurantee that I will get even more stuff free when I work in there. And also, if they like the way I am behaiving and dealing with the customers etc they might take me on as a permanant employee.

Close enough:biggrin:

Well hopefully at the end of it you will get paid for doing some work. Don't let them take the piss. Just because you want the experience, doesn't mean you aren't worth a couple of sheckles chucked in.

This aint the 80s with YTS at £27.50 a week.

Good luck.

Hats off to you mate. I see why you do it now. Are they good looking, these gels? A bit posh are they?

Seriously though mate, while you're in there not getting paid, make sure this isn't preventing you from applying for actual paying jobs, won't you?

I was waiting to hear if you had been successful.

If people from the forum visit the shop, perhaps they ought to mention your name.

How many days a week will you be working there?

Well done.

I am not sure yet, Tim has gone away to study the calender apparently and will be getting back to me.

I am only 14, so I don't desperately need a paid job, I just thought that, 'heck I have seven and a half weeks of holiday this summer, I might aswell do something with them'.

14! Why didn't you say? I've got suits older than you:smile: That being the case, you've done exactly the right thing. (Keep on with the gels though, won't you?)
