I think its a good move... they may offer a Sat job at the end of it if you have shown yourself to be polite, hard working and eager to learn or that they would take you on again another holiday but paid. If they don't then its something to put on a potential CV for the future. My 14 yo is attached to a computer...

Well hopefully at the end of it you will get paid for doing some work. Don't let them take the piss. Just because you want the experience, doesn't mean you aren't worth a couple of sheckles chucked in.

This aint the 80s with YTS at £27.50 a week.

Good luck.

I didn't get that in 1990, it was £15 a week for a 9 - 5 job in my first year and £25 in the third and second. Got made redundant when the printing company went bust in 1995.

Anyway well done on the job, next year get them to pay you. ;)

Good stuff Steve - something decent which shows initiative to put on the CV. If I were you, I'd advise them to move the Super Record display further from the door - you never know who might chance it and do a runner  Those extra 10 ft might make all the difference!!

Are you around for the final Solihull/Shirley TTs? 6th and 13th August are 10s, 20th is a 5. You should to a quickish time on the 10.

Which courses are they on? I might be around, but I also might not be:wacko: As we have a holiday home in Shropshire its quite easy to decide that we will just go away for a week or so.

Well done. Good move. Right attitude.

Pay attention and learn as much as you can. You'll soon be able to do "out of hours" freelancing, taking on jobs for your mates or people in your street and you might even get that sponsorship you were looking for.

If it develops into a term time Saturday job or Christmas holiday job, you should be able to negotiate a wee wage packet too.
