Dear Applicant, Many thanks for your interest in being a London 2012 Ceremonies Volunteer performer as a cyclist. The suggested date for the cycling auditions has now been secured as Saturday 3rd March 2012 at 9.30am.
Can you please send a reply email to us answering the following questions below by Monday 13th February 2012?
1. Do you own your own bicycle and helmet that you could bring to the audition? If yes, what type of bike? (i.e racing bike, mountain bike)
2. Would you be available in the morning of Saturday 3rd March for an audition?

Nice one - well done. Mrs Rockymountain applied to be a volunteer GP at the games over a year ago. Had two botched interviews with a teenage hoodie man in July 2011. She is still waiting to hear if she's got the job. My impression is that the whole volunteer appointment process is a complete shambles.

Agreed. Applied early last year and heard nothing until got invited for a not very impressive interview in December and not a dicky bird since despite them saying we would hear by mid January.

Those people are easily pleased. I can do that anyday of the week (Except Monday evening at 3.49pm on the ninth month of every fifth decade).

I think I cannot do it as a) I think they want people for opening and closing ceremony, and I can't do closing due to hols, and b) there will certainly be rehearsals the week before, when I am doing a half Iromnan abroad..... but will wait to see what they say
