OK, they must have had dropouts! I am now in, also in 52-BIK-V!!! It mentions bikes only in that it says it is yet to be confirmed if we have to bring a bike to rehearsal or not.

I am chuffed to bits!

Thought you may find this link interesting! http://dulwichparagon.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=5385
Interested to know your thoughts on it,

18 - 45? That is ageist! Would a 46 year old there really make any difference??

I am curious about that link. A bit of googling found one other club who had the same email. But they have asked people from my audition (at least one under 45) to be understudies (ie rehearse with no guarantee of appearing) which seems odd if they still want cyclists

As for reimbursement, apart from Oyster cards for the travel, the Performer Agreement makes it very clear NO PAYMENT of any type will be made, and I cannot see them having some "paid" cyclists and some volunteers. And they were overrun with volunteers.

Congratulations Jay, that's great news.

They're auditioning at least another 100 cyclists tomorrow afternoon, which seems to be very short notice given when the rehearsals start (if they're on the same schedule), so they must still be short on numbers. It seems from auditions for other roles that they're often selecting based on a 'look' rather than skills, so perhaps there were some from the March audition who just didn't fit in with the 'artisitic vision'. Not saying it's right, but... there you go.

My current plan is train to Waterloo, cycle to Fenchurch St and train from there to Dagenham Dock. I have not had confirmation re taking my bike, have either of you? I will anyway. It would mean you could park a mile or two away and cycle in (would also raise your sustainability cred if you did that)

Apparantly we dont need our own bikes, they only say helmets and long trousers !

OK, so back from it, and it does sound spectacular and a nice bunch of people to be working with you. I did meet someone from Manchester (Oakleys and Team GB socks) - was that either of you two Mancunians?
