I am sorry, I have had enough of this foul weather and cannot stand it any more. Things have reached such a pitch that I am off.
I have no goal and being in the second half of my life, I need a boot up the backside. I would like to get my life right back on track.

You don't like the climate in Scotland so you move to Nova Scotia 
? I know Scotland is on latitude 56N and NS is on latitude 45N so a bit further south but it is still well wet and cold in the winters. I would have thought California or San Diego or anywhere on a much more southerly latitude would desireable. Anyway best foot forward, you can always come back
