Got a load of stick at work today. Had an outbreak of eczema on my hands last weekend. Nothing too unusual about that, moisturised and went into work for the week, but by the friday it had gone a little odd. Hydrocortisone didnt really shift it either and I was getting blisters.

Went into work today, kept it covered as I work in catering but the staff were going bananas over it. "It could be ring worm.. it could be this.. could be that... how do you know.." The boss comes down, and categorically does NOT want me going off sick, in fact wants me to change to a MORE highrisk job serving food. That much is made clear.

Progressively got more uncomfortable and decided to walk around the docs this afternoon. Impetigo. Got to self cert for a week. Worth waiting in a waiting room for 40 minutes to find out. My boss is going to be so pleased.

Still. Get to watch the Tour de France live.

I had impetigo. On my face and had to work serving in a restaurant. If I were the boss I'd have sent me home for a week to stop scaring the customers. My doctor wasn't concerned about me working with/near food.

Second blinkin' cold this year. Thinking I had a nice three day break on Tues, Wed, Thurs this week, I thought I'd get some miles in, kick back, drink wine on watch the Tour on telly. Woke up yesterday and tried to go out for a ride, but I had to turn back after two miles as my body wasn't working like it should. Now doped up on pseudoephedrine and paracetomol and having difficulty finding a reason to get out of bed. BUGGERIT.

With a cold I dont dose up. Doesnt work for me. Might for a headache but thats it... so what I do is drink loads of fluids (OJ 50:50 with water REALLY helps push it through), and unless I'm feeling really rotten I try and sweat it out (exercise and hot baths)
