Sorry link should work now, the make of car doesn't surprise me though

What happened is terrible, but let's not stick all BMW drivers in one group! I have had very few poor experiences with BMW drivers! I would say, a lot of the times I am surprised when a car behind is patient it turns out that is a BMW! I have had BMW drivers go out of their way to be over generous and safe! From recent experiences I would rather have a BMW driver behind me than a lot of other road users.

This DRIVER in a silver BMW killed this cyclist and drove away.

Quite right. It's the driver, not the car, that's responsible for the accident and for driving off. The make of car is irrelevant.

Thats the second one up there in a week. I read a story like that last week.. plus the one of the little 11 year old girl who was hit by a woman driver who also f***ed off.

When they catch these people I can think of many, many suitable punishments.

I'd be interested to know what sort of sentence people like this would get.

Usually a couple of years, so they're back out ready to do it again after a year or so.

Why is causing death by dangerous driving so much less serious than manslaughter? IMO that's what it should be classed as.

It's not just cyclists who get the hit and run treatment - this woman really did run!

One guy last year got a 12 month suspended and ban for a year. He had been texting to his girlfriend at the time.

Just found out 30 minutes ago that someone pranged my father's car and drove off refusing details... I dont know why some drivers think this kind of behaviour is acceptable.. oh yeah, the courts tell them that.

When I was driving ages ago a girl went into the back of me (I was stopped, she had stopped...then decided she didn't like being stopping in traffic so pulled away into me (wtf??). At the time I thought she was on her phone, but I was a little shocked that she went into the back of me so forgot about it at the time. Had she actually done some serious damage I'd of phoned the police then and there, but in the end it cost her £50.

I can understand why people still use their phones when driving but I can't understand why anyone would ever want to text while driving?

Of course its the driver, but from my experience a lot of younger BMW drivers act like self-gratification artists yes some BMW drivers are very courteous , but it tends to be younger drivers in those older 300 series beemers that are the culprits. Would not surprse me if this was an example.

A lot of younger drivers in general act like self-gratification artists (I'm 18 and a driver so I thiiinkkkk I can criticise). Every group has bad drivers and every group has bad drivers that lack morals.

I think a lot of it is, "oh they're being a self-gratification artist, surprise, they're in a BMW"...but when they're not in the BMW you don't think "ah, that self-gratification artist was't in a BMW - that's a change!".

Someone once said to me that a car is like a weapon. I read that to mean a firearm (or other lethal weapon).

What difference does does it make as to what tool was used to commit the crime!?
