i set off a slow down sign in a 40 zone once. (yea, ok, i admit, i was going downhill at the time )

i'm lucky if i get above 18 on the flat, and that's with a tail wind on a good day!

I assume you're riding a road bike, so my pootle between 8 (Ok 4 uphill) 'n 15, averaging 12 on my hybrid, aint that bad after all !!

Well on Sunday I did 137mph on my motorbike so there.

Unless you have an engine, or suddenly found a mountain to scream down at pro cyclist level, 70mph is bullsh*t.

Maybe not, perhaps the front of his bike got caught on a motorists caravan connection lead, just before said motorist joined the motorway.

No, the caravan had been unhitched but the motorist had failed to disconnect the trailer lead.

Speed limits DO NOT apply to non motorized vehicles. You can go as fast as you want on a bicycle, as long as it is not powered.

Just dont look 'furious' when your doing it and the cops can't do a thing.
