It's a man-pie. Not pretty, very functional.

This seasons first pheasant plus some pigeon from an earlier outing. Found some Jus-Rol pastry in the freezer, dated 2008.

A deep dish job, plenty of seasoning cooked in red wine.

Some of the gravy bubbled through and created a little puddle on the pasty top.

I'm fixed up for the next couple of days, need a few rides to get rid of it..........

It's pigeon pie. Is that acceptable?
I've only ever eaten Steak & Kidney pie!

All pies are acceptable apart from fruit pies and tripe pies.

Pigeon is great. So is pheasant. There's a nice butcher's in Bedale that does a great pork and pheasant pie.
I have soooo much to learn about pies. I shall start eating more pies, with immediate affect.
