Can I just confirm with you good people that this gear cable set will be Ok to replace the tired old cables on my shimano Sora/Tiagra road gears please?

That's a mtb set - I think you'll need a road bike set since you have STIs and need longer cables. But then the ad does say its suitable for road bikes so I can see why you're confused

The ones I've used recently with a gear fitting on one end and a brake nodule on the other have been very long anyway so length may not be an issue.
Are mtb and road cables the same thickness?

Thanks guys, I can't seem to find any roadie gear cables on CRC or Wiggle either for that matter?

I've just ordered some of these Universal cable inners to be safe.
I guess that MTB and road cables are the same thickness then, just different lengths?

Hopefully they'll fit the Jagwire outers, I assume they're universal too as they have to fit the holders on the frame.

If they're not right, they'll probably fit one of the MTB's and at least its only a couple of quid.
