I remember Cornwall from my End to End. Nearly finished me off before I even got started properly. Made the rest of the journey seem pretty easy, mind. And thankfully Scotland's pretty flat! ;-)

I did it in the opposite direction & realised why many E2E riders who start from LE bail out before Bristol,allegedly.
I was glad the real struggles came at the end & I think had acquired some degree of fitness from riding from JoG

I had to pop into SJS Cycles in Bridgewater to get them to fit a megarange cassette to my 'bent. This was after a hellish day through north Devon. Typically, the countryside flattened out after that!

I've been there,in the mid 1990's.Bought some wheels,can't remember why I went so far but I think there was a good reason.
