Errrr.....
Following on from the Smug thread, I thought I'd check when this was as I thought it was a while ago. These days I only use the car for hauling sailing gear to the club and family trips. The answer, according to my card statement, is (drumroll):

12/09/2009.

So I claim the CC record at 31 days! This will be updated the day before I need to fill up again.

I last filled my car up on the 20/08/09.

The last time I filled up our car would have been back in June when we went on holiday, I don't expect to do it again until next summer.

Meanwhile of course, my wife continues to keep it full as needed for her use.

A month doesn't seem like any big deal.

Having said that, if you haven't refilled this year, it does kind of call into question why you have a car at all, doesn't it?

And back on topic, I last filled my car up in September, on my way back from Snowdon.

Last time I filled up the car, I put unleaded in the diesel tank !!

This cost me £260 to get it towed/drained/cleaned.

Not been allowed to do it since.

Last filled her up on the 28th October. Doesn't seem too long ago...but consider this....I used to fill her up 2-3 times a week (at £50 a time!) before I started cycling in and that £150 used to take me a distance of only 200-300 miles!!!! as I was sitting in traffic for around 90% of the time with my engine just idling.

It use to make me laugh as when I filled up, the dashboard computer always insisted I had a range of around 300 miles…yeah right!!

These days, I may take the car into work once every 6-8 weeks…phew!

Filling up just over a year ago sounds like a huge amount of time to me

I last filled up early October. I used to put in £20 - £30 petrol each week, but now I don't even use that amount each month! Loving that!

I can't really remember--I think it was at least 2 months ago to drive to a time trial. I usually go through about 100 l of petrol a year. Scarily, that adds up to around 280 kg of CO2!

Think his wife uses the car. Otherwise, ditch the car (only using a few times a year doesn't do it any good) and just rent a van for the day...friend rented one for something like £30.

I last filled up...well, possibly Christmas time. That was possibly when I last had access to a car (or needed access). Wouldn't mind filling up a car soon and going for a drive though.
