I like cycling in the dark and wet

Because of the little firework show of spray that my grippy tyres throw up into my light beam.

It is a beautiful sight and it is just for me.

I quite like the dark and wet too. My moon light shows up all the pretty water droplets. If my light is on setting 2, the water looks like running stich

The amount of other shoot is rather upsetting though.

I like cycling in the dark, but must admit the last few days of being able to get out in the daylight has made a refreshing change.

Anyone else suffered walking boots splitting the uppers from the soles roughly level with the balls of your feet when cycling? Is there any common factors in why it happens? It's happened on toothed MTB pedals - not yet on flat rubber pedals but I fear it could again as I doubt the pedal teeth made the sole bend enough to weaken/wear the join.
