Being old and decrepit I’m waiting for the snow/ice to go before going out on my bike again I’ve all ready fallen over on the and bashed my head and I was walking at the time

I'm temped to go down the Canal from Coseley to Wolves but last time I went for a pleasure ride it was a bit ropey.

There are old cyclists and there are bold cyclists, but there are no old bold cyclists

Shall be staying off the snow and ice until it has gone. Have commuted on it in the past in years gone by but don't have to right now so won't venture out on it on two wheels.
I think the biggest worry is dropping the bike and suffering a broken bone or collar bone, quite apart from being knocked down by some numptee driving too fast and skidding into you. Disaster.
Salt is very corrosive too, especially on bike components.

Don't blame you.Hate the stuff.

Not too worried about the bike it can take care of itself but if I get a bad injury out there it could be the end of my career.One days incident could change my whole life...and you know how unpredictable snow and ice is.
