I must be MAD

My normal commute has been 6.2 to 6.5 miles each way depending on which way I go. Lately I have upped that to 10.1 miles each way (which includes the minor hills).

While in work today I thought "I know, I'll do a long route home tonight". Google maps to the fore and I map out my journey. 16 miles, leave work at 9pm so fairly quiet on the traffic front. I'm back on google maps and have eeked out another 1.5miles.

17.5 miles the wife will be wondering where I've gotten to, LOL.

Anyway, I can't wait to finish work now, but then again if I stay on google maps much longer I'll be circumnavigating the whole of Merseyside.

Yep trusty that's me. My chin isn't that bad, Honest. The pic was taken on laptop which was on my knee so I had to look down towards the camera and it made it look worse. Honest Guv

I've looked at lengthening my commute some days. but going from 14mi up to around 24. but never got round to it. might do it in the summer when it's nicer.

Instead i take 2 sets of clothes one day, and then i cycle home with no bag and cycle in the next day with no bag.

I've started to do similar. Makes a bit of difference with no bag !!

don't worry, i was only gently joshing with you. an old family friend came round a couple of weeks ago and took a photo of me and the wife on the couch. she then emailed it to us a few days later. we both took one look and immediately swore that that picture should never see the light of day and if it ever made it to facebook we'd kill her! we both looked awful, bad skin, overweight, stupid expressions....much more than normal at least!

Well, it's confirmed, I'm MAD. Did the 17.5 miles in 1hr 14 and my lord was it cold. Very, Very cold.

I'm just starting to defrost !!

I was knackered today but managed to grind out a result.

7th day and 7th full commute.I was quite warm as I have wrapped up this year.

Next 4 days off.Then 11 commutes in 12 days.
