12v drill batteries seem a common power source..

got me thinking of this myself now, since I have a spare one lying around

I just received a 12v Li-ion battery from Hong Kong, 9.8 Ah or 9800 mAh, using it to power 12v halogen lights. The only problem with it is the charger, it's pants takes over 24 hours to charge so bought a decent smart charger that will do it in less than 9 hours from flat as a pancake.

My brother has an Airzound on his brompton for use in London. He's managed to get noticed by buses and lorries using it. Which is saying something as his brompton is a terrible combo of orange and acid yellow, and you'd have to be blind not to notice it....

Air Zound works for me. I have one fitted to both trikes. So far I've woken up the doziest of dozy drivers, persuaded iPod wearing joggers to move over and scared off an attacking dog! I wouldn't ride without one.
