Can a standard modern wooden shed be dissassembled/moved/sold?

Yes.

The one thing i specified myself when deciding was a central door, that way i could wheel bikes in and place them to the left or right, and both. Gives better access either side if you have several bikes (currently 6 in mine at the moment)

I got mine from a fence and shed supplier locally and while its been quite good, £350.00 ten years ago for an 8x6...i remember when i looked at them in his showroom / yard i thought they were timber roofed plus felt of course. When i got mine it turned out to be chipboard roof...which has begun to collapse now. I may have been wrong, he may have cut a corner..who knows, shoulda done my homework at the time.

Look and remember quality and materials at the show room / yard.

Shed for sale in Norwich.

I have two in my garden, one std wooden one (recently re-roofed) and one corrugated iron workshop. They need to be moved anyway due to building extension but my wife wants the view of the garden back so we have agreed on one combined workshop/shed/greenhouse.
I have seen some combined shed/greenhouse combos at garden centres but nothing very interesting. On t'Internet I did a search for modernist sheds and saw some nice looking, clean designs. I am mulling over some kind of modular structure with a wood or aluminium frame, narrow, vertical modular panels than can be solid or glass or a mix. I need a door at each end, a pitched roof, a workbench, room for a long plank, bike storage for 2 and possible some outdoor covered workspace.
Shed floors are usually off the ground, greenhouse floors are usually paved or ground. There may have to be a step. The ground is gently sloping so some levelling foundations required.

Does anyone have ideas on the framework and panel that would be clean looking, low maintenance, leak proof. I wonder if there is a market for modular sheds.

When I needed a shed 10 yrs ago, I purchased a plastic one from B&Q. Easy to put up, doesnt need painting etc. No issues whatsoever. Its the same material as the outdoor cupdoors/storage units you can buy. Use it as my potting shed.

Avoid Being&Q Wickes ect.
Have a look locally for a shed supplier as they will build it too.

Your on a tight budget for a really good one
Cant agree with the B&Q comment as I think they are very good.
I got an 8' x 6' from them in March for only £800.
It lasted all the way through till end of August so I have just replaced it with another one from B&Q.

5 months is not a bad life of a B&Q shed.

Shed company, and get it delivered. If you want extra warm/cool in summer, line with flexible insulation (it's silvered bubble wrap - cheap) and staple in place. Then ply line. Our summer house was cheap, but costs added up with lining, electric and decking. The insulation works brilliantly - cool in summer, warm in winter.

Have you considered a self design/build?

If it doesn’t appeal, I would certainly look at local shed builders. You could spec to your budget requirements with them.

I really was expecting a good deal more pish-taking than this, but thanks for all the suggestions.

This isn't going to be a man-cave or sanctuary with a "No Gurlz" sign and a lending-library of 80s grumble. It's somewhere to stick a mower, a few tools and other bits of crap. The location is sheltered - it just needs to keep the rain out. And especially no bikes - they sleep with me.

While I don't want to go the full B&Q cardboard route, I'm comfortable enough assembling a basic small shed.
