My old shed is knackered. I need something less than 3m x 2m (10'x7' in UKIP money). The shed is visible to neighbours but security isn't a big issue. It'll hold garden stuff and shoot, not bikes. Budget is £800 absolute maximum. Something more modern would suit the house.

This is a serious thread.

Avoid Being&Q Wickes ect.
Have a look locally for a shed supplier as they will build it too.

Your on a tight budget for a really good one

I think you need a reference book first

I got a new shed/mancave last year as my old one was rotten and falling down. I went for as big as I could in the space I had. 12x8 superior pent.I got it from a company called Densheds and the quality is good. Not the cheapest but erected as well in the price

I need a new one too.
Whats best for reducing dampness, wood or metal?
Metal seems obvious but maybe condensation issues that wood would dissipate better?

Definitely have a shop around as what you get varies so much. I spent ages looking around and most places cut a corner somewhere or over charged for what you recieved. Be it chip board roof, paper thin T&G, non pressure treated. We had our shed made bespoke by a company in Birmingham. 20x10 pressure treated, from memory it was 25+mm T&G clad, 30mm floor timber, 19mm T&G roof, internal wall, 6ft doors, higher roof, wider shed door etc and for £1800 delivered. So £800 should get you a good shed.

Here's mine, 10ft by 6ft security shed with internal sheffield stand bolted to concrete base. Built by local Bristol firm, cost about £700 back in 2010. Go to a reputable local firm and get a security one if you store bikes in it. BTW, this was Bristol in March!. Painted it myself, relaid new felt on roof in 2017. Great shed.
