No, really, I do.

I have a Stoma bag and every time I eat fish, I stink of it for a day or two afterwards. It comes out my pores and is present in bodily fluids as well as pee and poo.

Is my body simply not absorbing the fish or is it something else and how can I go about fixing the problem? I rather like fish you see.

It happens with even the smallest piece of fish, there seems no limit to what causes it and pre - bag, I never had a problem.

Yours fishily, MDB.

Maybe ask a gastroenterologist? Or is there a patient advocacy group for Stoma patients with a forum?

I am sure there must be a forum somewhere... 'Stomachat', maybe?

To be fair, it has long been a curiosity, but I am only now wondering about it.
I don't even see a Stoma Nurse regularly now, so I'd have to make an appointment with the G.P. at the very least.

I am surprised - The denziens of this here forum usually know everything (or at least think they do! 🤣), so... Umm... Never mind, thanks anyway.

My armpits often smell of onions usually after a meal the previous evening that has onions in it. Mrs W says I don’t cook them enough.

Tbh I'd not worry about it too much; I think it's fairly normal for some odours to make it through us un-absorbed. Google probably has the answer but it's worth mentioning next time you see the doctor (if that ever happens!) for peace of mind.

If it helps I'm just polishing off a sizeable bit of fish from the chippy (ten fugging quid now!) so can report back as to what delicate aromas tantalise my nostrils upon the morning's first golden evacuation

EDIT: This evening's baseline appears to be "standard pub pisser"...

My pish often smells of Sugar Puffs. Not sure if it is supposed to or if Sugar Puffs smell like pish.
Tbh I never did trust the honey monster..

I have no idea. I was trying to help. Maybe have the fish experience but not the effects. I googled it for you and one example is Zalmon.
Oh! Never heard of that one before, I'll need to look that up, thanks!

Same here sometimes, but this really is on another level totally!

I did try and google it, but all I got was things about Garlic, onions and Curry... In people with full digestive systems, so it works differently.

Compared to Tony, the Frosties Tiger, I'm not so sure :giggle:
You could wear a fish costume and claim that you were really serious about getting into the role.

That or see a doctor.
Err, yeah, thanks! 🤣
