Re: OP's question about smelling of fish:
Do you really smell of fish or is it just your nose telling you you smell of fish? Might seem a daft comment but smell does not always work 100% and can do some weird stuff.
For various reasons (not relevant to this thread) I was given a full medical "smell test" by a consultant some years back. It was a substantial scratch and sniff booklet with a separate test on each page, you scratch the special area (with a pencil NOT finger/nail) and answer which of the 5 options it smelt of and if you can't tell you must answer (traditional multi-choice so random answers gives you 20% score). I couldn't smell anything on any pages and consultants diagnosis was I have zero sense of small. But I can smell but often some smells will remain hours after the actual smell has long gone eg cycle past eg a pile of manure sitting in a field waiting to be spread and can smell it and that evening I'm still smelling it although I passed it hours before have since changed clothes, etc.. Sometimes I can smell things definitively that I haven't been near for weeks, smell lasts for a few hours and passes.
So, when OP thinks they smell of fish, once them smell has dispersed from the house (which can take time), clothes/hair/etc. aired so not holding smell, etc., etc. do other people also smell this fish or is it just OP's nose being misleading?
