. . . after my six-month winter hibernation!

It's going to be difficult at first, but as the snow and ice melt, then I'll slowly get back into the swing of things again.

My commute is only 20 mins, but there is still a lot of black ice on the road early in the mornings.

I'm looking forward to the heat, warmth, smell and colour of spring and summer, and with a bit of luck, have more than just three weeks of good weather, as we had last year!

Good for you Dayvo.

Weather is still cr&p here in the UK. Snow 4cast - 40cm in Scotland and it's moving South. So don't count your chickens just yet.

At least you had 3 weeks of good weather last year

Good luck!

You'll need it after six months hibernating - I'd never go back after that amount of time off! ;)

Hope the weather is better than it is in central Scotland - we seem to be heading for another ice-age.

;);)

All the best Dayvo.

Welcome back Dayvo.

Did I miss your report of your trip down under?

Wakey wakey - hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

I was going to cycle in: it pissed down all night and in the morning it was +1 and still hammering down: my boss phoned at 6.30 and asked if I wanted a lift!

Had a one-hour coffee break, did two hours of HARD work (clearing snow from a green), had lunch at 11.00 and finished for the day! Actually finished for the week and aren't back at work until Tuesday! Norwegians 'celebrate' Easter by NOT working and have an extra day and a half off! Well, I'm not going to complain!

AND I get paid for all the days off! And if I have to go in (which is quite possible), then I get double pay!

No you haven't, Mags. I just need to transfer my diary from my notebook to my laptop and sort the pictures out. It'll be done soon-ish!

Welcome back (to the real world). I'm just jealous really.

Hmmm, don't think I've ever lived in the real world, Chris! What's it like?
