I think I’ve come full circle

Just finished the Myton Hospice 100km cycle challenge. Great charity that I’m proud to support.

Significantly for me, when I was lying in the road with a broken hip, I never knew if I’d be able to get back on the bike. It’s three and a half years later and I’ve had two lots of major surgery and counselling for PTSD and I have now done something that I was originally hoping to do when I fell. So this feels like a real victory.

I’m pleased to have overcome adversity, but I must praise the good members of this forum as I don’t know how I’d have got through the first few weeks without the enormous outpouring of sympathy and advice. What a great place this is!

BTW, my friend who I cycled with happens to be a GP, not that I was worried I’d come off again!
