I could have done it, but as per the OP, I can't really ride no handed, so I'd have to stop all the time to do things like put on/take off a rain jacket, and as for those mussette things, I'd probably get mine tangled around my wheel or something, sending me flying!!

I have the same problem. I'm always amazed at how professional cyclists can ride for minutes with no hands on the bar, and add or take off layers of clothing at the same time. When I tried it I ended up on my arse.

I love your incontrovertible (in my eyes, anyway) logic.
I've been to France and can ride no handed.does this mean I'm too good? It would explain why Team Sky have not been to see me yet.
