You really have to dump this obsession with ink. Laser printers are the way to go. Buy replacement toner cartridges from one of the many online generic suppliers rather than the printer manufacturer.

I agree - I got fed up with throwing away part used cartridges and gummed up inkjets and switched to a colour laser. It just works - I can print thousands of pages and never have to worry about cleaning heads, printing pages to try and clean a blocked nozzle and it is worked out significantly cheaper once I got over the purchase price. For really low usage though I would just pop to my local newsagent/library and pay per page.

That reminds me, we'll have to dig out the MIL's Christmas Card list, print it, then let her cross them all off the list and only send out a select few.
