If it really is black I would nip to A&E now rather than tomorrow, toes are very vulnerable to circulation loss and very easy to lose when they go manky.

Broke me big toe once kicked a box I thought was empty but it wasnt snapped me big toe, bloody hurt so I can appreciate the pain.

I think I once broke my big toe when wearing ridiculous platform shoes and it ached like a mofo for months but I never bothered to see the GP, just had a nurse from work give it a bit of a prod. It still plays up when my feet/the weather gets cold. Definitely have it looked at soon if it's turning black.
