was a gaming pc years ago but obviously for the one mmog i played which i s now defunct although there is a private server but all you can do is walk around and interact with old players .It can run on my laptop but tbh with 2 young kids i rarely get the chance to do even that let alone the all night sessiosn on task forces etc .

Just had to retire an old gaming PC of mine - it must be over 12 years old. Bought a Lenovo Think station from Aria PC for about £250 and it's lightning fast now I swapped an SSD into it - it does for the stuff my wife uses it for. The laptops are faster, but she likes a desktop.

What did the desktop do that the laptop and tablets cannot? I would not bother fixing up and old clunker for no reason. After all, it is a computer, not a bike.
Hey! As a software engineer, I can definitely say that the concept of N+1 exists for PCs also.
(I'm not going to say how many PCs I have, though)

Remembered i have an even older pc in the loft that doesnt boot but powers up, the psu in the broken one works so i think its the mobo .
i might get a netbook or summat as to fix the pc im looking at a new mobo , which means a new cpu + ram at least .
