I used 1384 kWh of electricity last year, all of it renewable :sun:and I only put the gas fire on once :cold:, but that was only after switching to biogas :thanks:
Greener for sure...my drafty old 1890's relic needs Sellafield B on full tilt to stay above freezing...Passiv-Arse

Got me beat.
I drove tens of thousands of miles in a diesel guzzler doing about 7 mpg.. Plus another 12k miles in a 40 mpg car, and about 5k miles on a 50 mpg bike. Then there's the house. I dread to think! I don't suppose flying to America and back gets me any environmental awards either. On the plus side, I cycled 3.5k miles .

We burned 50kg of house coal in six days over Christmas......and the off-peak storage radiators were working overtime.

We wouldn't have felt cosy staring at green electricity after a few glasses of grog.
Reckon i used about the same and a load of logs. You need these primitive things sometimes to take your mind off electronic forums and the like lol

What's the point, Global warming is an invention of the Chinese, Donald said.

In the last three years I've replaced my windows and boiler, my gas bills have dropped by half. The next stage is to try to move to renewable and locally sourced electricity.

For the 54th year running, I didn't father any children. Surely THAT is the best thing any environmentally concerned tree-hugger could do for the planet? After all, it's the number of people living on Earth that is the problem, not some piffling CO2 gasses which will look like a drop in the ocean compared to the next inevitable major volcanic eruption.
Yours etc.,
Donald J Trump (apart from the fathering of children bit!).

Just adding two layers of glass wool to the thin layer in our attic reduced our gas bills dramatically; the lady at BG said our consumption had suddenly dropped noticeably. We also have a 20 tube solar water panel, which I installed for a cost of £700 and I reckon that that has just about paid for itself now after ten years of trouble-free use. Apart from that we are not green; Mrs Gti complains that she's cold and opens the lounge radiator TRV to full then lights the stove; often the temperature in the lounge hits 25c and she's still complaining.
