5kW solar here. I don't know how that translates in terms of annual generation, but it earns about £300-£400 a quarter in the tariff. Also got a big wood burner which I use a lot, having spent the warm weather accumulating free fuel. Still use some has to heat then whole house though.

Does this mean you're one of them progressives?

Why is lamb so high and milk so low? Sheep emit methane, but otherwise they just eat grass, don't they. Modern cows require feeding with soya derived pellets.
How do they require that? List of demands when they take the farm workers hostage?

Anyway, I suspect milk's lower because you can make lots of milk with once animal, but only one set of meat, so the costs of the non- productive parts of the life cycle are more concentrated in meat.

Barnet,
My son and daughter both left home last year, so my electricity and gas consumption will have dropped by a third at least as there are now less baths and showers, there is now not two extra televisions on and the extra lighting and heating. I am waiting for the latest bill to see how much exactly.^_^^_^^_^

I bought a car that does 5mpg (estimate), burnt wood on my log burners, drive a diesel 4x4, and we have gas central heating.

On the upside I don't have any kids to perpetuate my bad habits, so I win

Same as me exept I don't have a log burners, but balance that out with 2 kids.

Call it a draw ;).
