I thought this cyclist was going to die...

Certainly not the wisest, but then again he's wearing a helmet - so he'll be OK

That sent shivers up my spine. He seemed to be completely oblivious to the danger he was just in & then does it again even after being told that people die like that.

He could have redeemed himself if he'd come to a dead stop at 0:12 seconds, at the point where the curve of the pavement ends and it becomes parallel to the road. If he'd parked himself just there: fine, no risk. But no: he seems to keep going. The gap can hardly be inches!

Some things are incomprehensible. There's no getting through to these guys.

At least the lorry driver came to a standstill, though whether it was because of congestion ahead or because he was aware of the cyclist - or because he heard you shouting - I don't know.

Let's be at least a little kind to the guy - it's not as though I can hold up my hand and say I never did anything potentially lethal on the roads. I hope the close call and my comments sunk in further down the road so he can learn and improve from this.

Oh, the irony is that at the traffic lights just before he commented on how brave I was to be riding so low down. It's not me that was taking chances there.

Sorry no sympathy for this plank BM. After you alerted him he still did it again. If he had been struck and trapped by the lorry think of all the disruption and aggravation that he would have caused every one else doing that journey, not to mention the input of the police and emergency services to probably try save his life if he wasn't killed, the stress caused the driver. And then all the negative publicity that cycling attracts when these types of collisions occur. It's bad enough when these terrible collisions occur where fault is uncertain, but where you capture footage of some one doing it and he ignores you ......... He is definitely a PLANK! All we have to do now is see if we can indentify him.

It has to be said, Mikey, that 'bents are quite a rarity down these parts; I only very occasionally see one. There are a few in in Brighton, but here out in the sticks, apart from brave souls doing a L2B ... So, yes, it's quite plausible that us oiks would be taken aback at seeing a cyclist 'so low down'...

But I imagine you're used to that. ;)
