loved this when I got one. Thought it was amazing when I got it. Nothing PC wise has come close to sitting listening to the buzzing noise and coloured screen when a game was loading

I didn't have one of these

But the kid next door but one did. We only ever really enjoyed one game- Quest for the Rings, since it required cooperation and we were both intensely competitive and would have massive rows if playing anything else. Plus the other games weren't up to much.

That game was absolutely the most enjoyable videogame I've ever played bar none.

But whatever has happened to computer operators? I presume that with modern desktop computers which don't have tape drives that the job has died out, like firemen on trains.

I used to be a mainframe operator back in the good old days.

I still remember the impact that the personal computer had, we kind of take them for granted now.

We all had to move with the times really.
