I got bit by a 'mystery creature' while walking the dog. Big lump on my hand, hurt for a week. Might have been one of those spider-jobbies.
We have two spiders in the downstairs loo (thin, spindly type, don't know what kind they are.) *
They just sit there all day doing feck all (a bit like me, I suppose). I call them Boris and Spencer. Boris has been there for about 2yrs, Spencer appeared more recently.

* possibly, according to the world-wide WEB  they are...

We had this spider in the downstairs khazi and I evicted him a couple of times but he kept reappearing, definitely the same one, he had this look about him. In the end I captured him (glass and postcard method - that's not glass of beer and send him an invitation by the way, it's postcard over the glass with the spider contained within, anyway I digress [/Ronnie Corbett mode]) and walked up the road with him and released him on the other side (of the road that is, not the Spirit World), I made sure he wasn't following me when I walked back to the house - haven't seen him again since. Yet.

This method doesn't seem to work too well..

Leaving for work the other morning (in the pitch black) I went into the garage via the side door. When I moved the car out I noticed that a massive spider was sitting on my chest. I screamed like a girl then proceeded to break dance with the thing until it sproinged off onto the passenger seat. It sat there, stunned but giving me an evil look, luckily I beat the thing to death with my drink bottle.

I really don't like spiders, and now we have mutant zombie black widow ninja ones after us.

Poor thing got run over crossing back over the road.

I came across this one yesterday hanging by a single thread at head height from a large tree, I moved it across to a wall and took a couple of pics.
Any experts on here, I couldnt find anything which matched, it is quite big though

We have a particular large spider in the house that we call Spencer, in fact Spencer has been with us for about 8 years now. In our first house he ate the mice so that was useful, in the second house he killed next doors cat, so not so useful, in our present home we have no mice and as the lady next door has two cats I keep Spencer happy by feeding him chicken carcasses and road kill.
To think that folks are scared of something the size of a 50p, pah! When I were a lad I used to sleep at bottom of our garden...................

I am sorry, I misread that and though that you were going to say that the next door neighbour had fallen to the appetite of Spencer!

On a tangent, I caught a mouse in a humane trap and released him on the verge about 50 yards up the road, but the little farker beat me in a race back to the house.
