I want a Boardman Hybrid Team but...........

So I turned up in Aylesbury Halfords in cycling shorts/cycling top/cycling shoes looking a typical affluent retired cycling person and started looking at the Boardman bikes in the £750/1000 price range.

Did the three members of staff:
A) Engage the customer in cheerful banter in the hope of making a sale?
or
B) Ignore him and therefore lose the hope of him ever buying anything in Halfords ever again?

So what do I get that is a similar spec to the Boardman Hybrid Team?

Did you even approach them?

Personally I prefer it when the sales staff let me look around before jumping on me for a sale... when I'm ready I'll approach them.

Look at the Sirrus Hybrid bikes: http://www.evanscycles.com/categories/bikes/hybrid-bikes/f/specialized/rigid#!!sort=desc

Must say I like my hybrid comp, it's even better with a 34 tooth on the rear cassette as it will go up a 1in4 now!:-)

I agree with Phixion; nothing worse than having your browsing experience ruined by over zealous sales staff. Having said that, no test rides, generally poor information and limited stock will mean you're probably better off ordering it online and building it yourself!
