To tell him how shoot his cycle facilities are.
He sent me a birthday card, with a bit of paper in, telling me how to contact him, saying he is always keen to hear young peoples views.
Well, i want to tell him my views, and let him know where he is going wrong.
I put this in another thread, but i just wanted to know someone elses point of view, on if its a good way to start the letter.

"Dear my good friend, Vernon Coaker,
Thank you for the 18th card, i really appreciate the care you put in, to just scribble your name in it, and get a skivvy(what's a better word, minion maybe?) to do the rest for you. I decided to take you up on the offer to contact you!"

I would love to invite him around for coffee and biscuits, but i am rather busy at the moment, and cant fit him into my busy schedule.

Your MP is not responsible for your local cycle facilities - that's down to the Council.

If you want to write to your MP, I suggest you politely ask him what he is doing to promote cycling - you may well get a considered response in return. An abusive letter will just go into the bin.

And the MP will only write to the council, who will write back to the MP, who in turn will send you a copy of the council's letter. Whole thing will probably take a couple of months, so would be quicker to hassle your local councillor (Nottingham City? They're unitary aren't they so should be the highway authority).
