Choose the colour of every component with your eyes shut.

To my mind there's nothing as dull as a carefully coordinated colour scheme on a bicycle.

Whatever matches your needs in terms of lightness, comfort and quality.

The more bizarre the colour scheme, the nicer the bike will look.

The last two road frames I bought came in a huge variety of colours, so I just said "next one out of the box in that size".

It is not unlikely that the retailer sold me the colours that weren't shifting, but I love them both to this day (6 years and 3 years later).

Close your eyes and buy the first tape you grab from the rack in the shop.

Trust me....:becool:

Black bar tape is the safest bet - light tape tends to go nasty after a while, and, as Mickle has said, you need just the right yellow. And, I'm sorry, but yellow tyres are frightfully gauche.

I'd go for yellow in your shirt - teamed with grey.
