That's an ice cream van? It looks more like an armoured car painted white, to me. I could imagine little holes opening up at the side and rifles popping out to begin the shooting!

It was a white Ford Escort for me, 45 years on and i can still see it looming over me as my cone melted on the road

When my cousin Mick came over to London he used to complain that the ice cream van drivers were ignorant because they would never stop when he tried to flag them down, even though they were obviously working because they had their silly tunes playing.

Turned out he was trying to stop ambulances.

Just seen an ice cream van for the first time in years. Actually I only heard it as I was in the shed having a clean up and jumped onto Mrs LFG's bike to chase him down. (picked up the Brompton but it had a flat).

We used to have 4 or 5 different ones competing for trade round here, including one that played the Benny Hill theme.

This summer there has only been one and he's been pretty irregular.

I wonder if local ice cream vans as are going the same way as local pubs?
Will people still pay a quid for a 99 when you can get a four pack of Cornettos for the same money at the supermarket?
