Ice is fun.

You're not suggesting that a Catrike such as the Expedition would be an ideal steed for such weather?

MY only problem is grip on the rear as you apply power - I have obtained a rear Marathon Snow Tyre and have two fronts on order - I will let you know my experiences

it's 6 degrees overnight tonight in Solihull, with heavy rain forecast for tomorrow. might cycle, at least it's not ice.

What are Marathon Winters please? Are they for road bike or MTB? Or are they Schwalbe Marathon Pluses? I'm looking for some more tyres & I may as well get some hardwearing, punctureproof ones as well as grippy ones, any ideas?

The studded ones? Are they only for really icy conditions I'd imagine for the occasional ice they might be a bit overkill, depending on where you live.
