Definitely a Calathea

Thanks folks - an image search from the suggestions confirms "velvet calathea" / "furry feather".

Doesn't look like a great candidate since it's evidently quite picky and I'm bloody awful at looking after things; but I'll try not to kill it.

If it starts to look worse for wear I'll maybe look to pass it on to someone more green-fingered locally
