Ideas needed for a solo holiday,budget of £1500-£2500

What is so magic about the last 1 or 2 years? I was trying to clarify the point I was making and yes they were recent and I can't understand why this posters eemed to decide to start questioning my experience, sort of assuming it wasn't valid under his/her terms. Not disagreeing, not having anypoint to make, just setting some arbitary threshold.

Your experience as I assume as a man and not in the past 1-2 years. Solo travel for women brings different issues to for men which you haven't acknowledged which was my initial point. Unwanted attention as a female is common (even in the UK, cycling I often get shouted at by drivers solely because I am female and not because I am riding a bike)

Escorted cycling holidays, seem quite expensive for what you get,

Maybe a destination where I could take my Brompton as long as It's not too hilly (It's only a 2 speed)

Have a look at self guided cycling hols, i.e the company transport your bags from each Hotel /B&B to the next, but you cycle at your own pace between places.
Quite a lot of flat-ish places - Netherlands, Denmark, wider Stockholm area etc

I've just been in Austria and had a couple of days cycling (Neusieder See, Burgenland and along the Danube from Melk to Durnstein and back), beautiful scenery, easy to rent bikes anywhere popular for cycling (not so much roadbikes and e-bikes are very popular), simple to get around by train (do need to buy a ticket for bike in advance), hotels aren't too spendy in most places (even Vienna). probably got another 4-6 weeks of good weather

Maybe you need to read what I've posted where I replied that some trips yes, others a couple of years ago.

I may be a man but when you travel solo you are in reality spending much of the time with others, talking about their experiences, etc. so one gets a good feel from women about what challenges they have faced. And still in contact with some (incl. women) who live in the some visited countries or have returned travelling to some countries).

UK is very different from many countries eg in Burma man or woman you are actually pretty safe and not hassled (because of the penal system the junta imposed). Just because something happens in the UK does not mean it happens everywhere. Countries vary eg in Egypt wandering around I've had women come and ask if we can walk round together as a "couple" as they uncomfortable with the attention they are getting.

You may want to reject my comments, keep making (incorrect) assumptions even after I've addressed them. But you've failed to highlight where and why you think my experiences and experiences of those I've met are invalid. And I don't give a ... (and discovered the forum "Ignore" functionality).
