WTF does that mean?

Because we get paid £1 each time we cycle to work which we sign in with security to get so they have a register of how many people ride and who does it most often.

We do get the 'Dr Bike' service, which is for staff and students. There's also the university's Velocampus, which are really good (fixedfixer on here is part of it, so I'd better put that  ).

Overall my work's doing some good stuff for cyclists. We have an underground bike cage, drying room, lockers plus shower rooms in my building.

I'm tempted to try discussing this with my local execs in the company I work for, a multinational called Thales. Being a large company, they should be able to support schemes like this .

Never heard of companies paying you to ride to work! I do think that other than C2W there should be other tax relief or green perks available to you for not running a car!!

It would be nice just to get the company I work for to allow us to cycle up and down the drive leading into the factory, at the moment I have dismount and walk up the drive in the morning and walk out onto the road at night before I mount the bike, anything else would be a bonus.

International Company...I work for Kingfisher who own B&Q and that whole chain. Must be quite a good tax saving especially since they've just introduced cycle scheme last week as well. It is very nice step, just glad I'm one of the 12.
Well i'm with Walmart/Asda so i'll contact hr and see what they say!!

My mob, who I on;y work for for 6 months, will pay for up to £525 per year for 'healthy lifestyle' costs such as gym membership, health club member ships, purchase of a bike etc, so I sharp soon asked whether I could but components/tools etc which I could as long as they were bicycle-specific, so I now have some nice new bike-specific tools in my garage and a pair of Pete matthews wheels adorning my bike. Next years is already earmarked for dynamo lighting

Even though I work for a big organisation, when I first claimed my 20p/mile for cycling on work business a few years back I was clearly the first ever to do so, as I had to go through all sorts of hassle with the payments office, who took a lot of convincing that it was a legitimate claim. I practically had to slap people with HMRC documents before they'd pay up
get it taken off your tax code instead using form P87/D - this has more benefits as it lowers your thresholds ;)

I doubt it. I work for a green construction company and its a battle to get anything done at local level. even copying in UK head office doesn't get much response.
