Vegetable soup followed by what is left of haggis and clapshot from yesterday, then a choice of puddings. I wouldn't normally be breaking out the alcohol, but as I had a guest, could offer you a bottle of Japanese beer .

I didn't know what that was but it sounds nice (as does the Japanese beer).

I think it's spaghetti with continental lentil sauce tomorrow. A quick and easy meal. If you'd come tonight you'd have had spicy saag paneer with brown rice    . But sorry - it's all been eaten! Seem to be a lot of posts on this thread with saag on them. Is there some reason?

Tonight, it'll be a curry, using up leftover noggins of veg - onion, courgette, roasted butternut squash and tomato.

Tomorrow, I'll be away for the weekend, so you're welcome, but you'll have to self cater and I'll leave you some washing up...

I've been inspired by this thread to think about some different recipes and I've decided to make minestrone. It's a while since I made it and it's a perfect autumn supper/dinner/tea!

Can I have a side order of crisps please?
