Well I didn't commute by bike which meant I had to get train with the great unwashed, which is a throughly dreadful experience. Exasperated by the fact that ticket for a trip on the DLR for 3 stops has risen by 120%. December 09 £1.60, Jan 2010 £3.50.... WTF?

And... looking at the main roads, they all seem to be very well gritted and clear so could have scooted the quick way to work along the A21.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mighty Ian has been felled - sorry to hear that - public transport vs the bike is a no brainer.

As for the fair hikes, Boris has really taken the piss.

Hahaha, fooled by the weather Ian! I could have ridden in from Biggin Hill even. There's 15cm lying, but it's fairly clear on the major roads.

I didn't commute either today. I chaecked the traffic cams and saw the roads were clear, but threat of heavy snow this afternoon made my mind up for me.
I don't want to risk another fall whilst my elbow is still mending.

Of course knowing my luck the roads will still be clear this evening, and I'll be stuck on a over crowded, delayed train then bus.

Right, I'm going for a lunchtime ride in honour of all those CCers who couldn't make it out this morning - please feel free to vicariously enjoy my five miler! If I've not logged back in at 14.00 - phone the Met.

The main roads in South London are pretty clear. Bit tricky on my shortcut through some of the lanes though!
I 'rushed' home to meet a parcelforce delivery - new rollers. Only to get a message that they cannot deliver due to "adverse weather conditions". Funny as I passed their Mitcham depot and the roads are clear:sad:

Stopped heavily snowing now and roads are still clear, with little traffic.

Just checked TFL for travel updates, and the Overground from Willesden Junction is suspended due to signal problems

Wish I'd cycled now.
