If I was going to spend £350,000 on something like that, then I'd at least want it to look look REMOTELY DECENT, not something that looks like it was second place in a Lego building contest

iPods will play MP3s, pretty much all I ever played on mine...plus umpteen other audio and video formats.

Apple use AAC audio compression, although iPods have been known to be tweeked by the user to play other formats (mp3 etc).
Speaking for my own ipod, the sound quality is terrible. Great on form and even function, but performance is not good. Now I don't mind Apple kit, it's just the fanboy thing that gets on my tits
