I rode the fixie with slick 28mm tyres in the snow last night. No problems at all on the snowy bits. The bits that had been pollished by traffic where somewhat more intresting though.
Used the mountain bike today and was first on the works car park so it was rude not to ride all over the vigin snow ! Mind you no one could get past the frozen stumps so me and my bike were the first into work !
I notice the Met office website is asking us to submit info regarding depth of snow, date time and location.
What is this obsession with snow? They haven't asked us to measure wind, rain or sunshine in the past.
I use the mtb 90% of the time for commuting as i can get to work most of the way on bridleways and a disused railway which has a good all year surface. I shall use the trike and trailer this morning to go shopping and i need to stock up on horse feed aswell. The trike is good in a light covering of snow but the amount we had yesterday i'd have been lost in a drift somewhere.
