I do like a quiet environment, but spending 24 years living in flats and houses without other people or even pets around can sometimes seem a bit, er ... quiet!

Want to swop? with 10, 4 & 10 month old boys alongside the wife with a bun in the oven means my life won't be peaceful until I boot the youngest one out in 18/19 years time.

Well, that's either a series of incredible cock-ups on the contraceptive front, or you must love 'em really!

PS I've just realised what an awful pun I've just made, but it's so bad that it's good so I'm leaving it as it is!

Egads, how long do you people spend in there? 20 minutes someone said?! What's the problem? Forget what you went there for? Stage fright? Get in there, get the job done and get out. Longer than a couple of minutes and you're likely to be arrested for cottaging!

Its not cottaging if your the only one in there!

And I thought we established it was a peaceful haven, somewhere to relax and collect your thoughts. Not just about dropping the kids off at the pool!

I spent a great deal of my teenage years in the house of another FNRttCer. Hers was a literary family. There were bookshelves in every loo and bathroom. I read slabs of J P Donleavy's 'Beastly Beatitudes of Balthazar B' in short, but satisfying (and entirely literary) bursts. I did give Philip Roth's 'Portnoy's Complaint' a go, but found it completely uninspiring.

I found myself flicking through "Britain's Railways from the Air - Then and Now" while on the loo not so long ago. Do I win some sort of prize?

Considering you've edited this post I'd hate to think what your first advert was like!
