But, for those of us who relish little insights, Ms. Freeman scotches the rumour that Dolly wears her heels in the shower. Sorry.

Funnily enough, Mrs Crackle asked me how old Dolly Parton was the other night. She thought she might be 70, I said no way. It was a surprise to me that she was 65.

She's maintained that look and persona from the beginning, quite remarkable really, we don't know that much about her private life. A lesson for today's prima Donna's, that talent, rather than intimate detail, is what's important.

Iread that article too. Her photograph at the top is younger than the one from the 9-5 still in the 80s.

I'm dang goin' t git me some of that there country music to listen to y'all - it sure done her no harm.

I'm not overly into Dolly's brand of C&W but after watching an interview with her on TV I was very impressed by her determination, business acumen and management of her image in the promotion of her music and herself.
