I've actually been pondering this ever since I first saw the thread a few days ago.
I fear someone has planted a seed of something dangerous here...
My "one" would be something capable of doing a TCR, or maybe longer "fast tour"/holiday/lets start pedalling with no intention of stopping...
Room for wider tyres, disk brakes, rohloff, potentially titanium, baggage room and mudguards, tri-bars and drops...
I know what I'd want, but I don't know of any off the peg bikes that have it. Probably a good thing, as otherwise I'd be extending my baked bean diet that's currently been paying for my other bikes for the next 145 years...
