If you could move to any country for cycling, where would you go?

I tell you if the 'Bitter Together' camp wins this Scottish Referendum, then I'll be leaving the country, leaving behind all the idiots and going somewhere nicer.

The Falklands will most certainly NOT be one of the places I'll be going too!!

Well Canada has 9.8 million square miles, varied terrain, and wide roads. France is still one of the most beautiful countries.

It really isn't as great as you might expect for cycling - except in Quebec, the roads are often quite straight and boring, the drivers really aren't used to cyclists - the half-asleep long-distance truck drivers are a serious problem - and there really isn't the range of quiet backroads, and it's so big that it takes you ages to get to any of the decent cycling. BC is excellent for mountain biking, though.

Japan is surprisingly good once you are out of the Tokyo megalopolis, and even cycling in Tokyo is a lot of fun. The narrowness, volcanicity and high culinary standards of the country means you are never far from a fantastic climb, a good meal and a hot-spring - the perfect combination for me. But France is awesome, in fact the whole belt from northern Spain through southern France and across Northern Italy is unbeatable IMHO.

I'd move to the next valley. The grass over there looks MUCH greener!

Having cycled in much of Europe (but hardly at all outside Europe) I have to say I'm pretty happy with things here.

Alps inspire me, but being on them (motorcycle or bicycle) sort of scares and diminishes me.

Also, those foreign Johnnies just don't get the whole 'left and right' thing. Surely another reason to support Monsieur Farridge on his noble quest.
