killed or injured

I don't want to sound like I'm being skeptical but that sounds like a lot in the grand scheme of things. We see the big cases on the telly like that lad run over in Brizzle by the woman who subsequently went on the run last year (or was it this year  ) Any chance of a source, and would it include cars which have left the road hit a lamp post and it is the drivers themselves who have been KSI'd ?

Kids do stupid things!

2 children (on 1 bike) were involved in a collision with a car locally because they were playing cycling with your eyes closed. :bravo:

Bumps and bruises and some damage to the car it could have been so much worse, 9 years old the pair of them. Came off the pavement down hill into the path of a car, I can't imagine how the driver felt!

Then teach them to ride a bike on the road safely. I was about to pass him and he swerved out in front of me to miss a parked van, Due to the line he was riding I thought he was stopping behind the van.

I had a hooded creature do exactly that to me a month or two back. I was certain the gormless scrote was about to stop- but it pulled out right into me at the last second. I stayed upright no problem, but the useless sod must have caught my pedal in his spokes or something as he went flying and mashed his face on the road. I'd have got off to help him but I was laughing too much. Priceless.

And therein lies a valuable lesson, no?

Will the hooded creature learn from it?

Who knows.

I'm very happy to see cyclists, even muppets like the OP posted about. The more cyclists out there, the safer it is for all of us. Crazy cyclists like this one teach drivers to give us plenty of time and space - just imagine how close they'd overtake if we were all highly skilled roadies who can track a perfect and predictable line all the time.
