How odd. As soon as I started reading the thread, the Esso Blue song jumped into my head. I had forgotten about Smoke gets in your eyes. My Dad seemed to like the old ads for some reason. Just as we all do here. Nice healthy dose of nostalgia

We once had a floppy plastic record shoved through our letterbox from Esso. It started" Hello I'm Joe the Esso Blue Man. Have you had a nice holiday?I had a marvellous time. Can I tell you about it? It ended with the jingle.
